5000 Shalach Manos Kits to be distributed

"Food presents, man to his friend", Megillah 9:19

In honor of 50 years of the Rebbe's acceptance of leadership, Chabad in S. Monica is distributing an additional 5000 (100 x 50) Shalach Manos packages.

Every year Chabad distributes 1500 Shalach Manos packages to area convalescent home residents, students, and immigrants. The additional 5000 packages will be geared to Jewish homes in S. Monica that otherwise would not celebrate the holiday of Purim. 

In addition to the food, each package is decorated with a colorful card depicting the four Mitzvos of Purim. A little brochos guide will help the recipient with the proper blessing on the foods.
