Purim
Crafts Fair
Robinson’s, Gap, K-B, and Macy’s. Feathers, glue,
jam, and beans. Shoppers and afternoon strollers made their way through
the mall. Amidst the department stores and boutiques there was something
to remind them of their Jewishness.
Glass tables were set with an array of materials. At
one end children were decorating Purim masks with feathers and beads. At
another table they were filling Chinese take-out baskets with beans to be
used for graggers to drown out Haman’s name. In the center of all the
activity, children and adults alike were forming dough into hamantashen.
That was last year’s Purim Crafts Fair at S. Monica Place. It was fun
and exciting for the whole family. Once again this year, Chabad in S.
Monica will be sponsoring a Purim Crafts Fair. Be sure to come and bring
the family. It will take place, Sunday February 24th from 2:00—4:00 pm
at S. Monica Place in center court.
