Kosher Week
The week of September 25th is just one week before Rosh Hashanah, The High Holidays. Chabad is spreading holiday awareness by setting up stands in six area supermarkets.
Consumers shopping at Ralphs (Cloverfield), both Vons (Lincoln and Wilshire), Pavilions (Montana) and both Albertsons (Ocean Park and Wilshire) supermarkets, will be able to pick up reading material on the holidays, Kosher, and other Mitzvos. There will also be free Jewish calendars and traditional honey cake.
Stop by one of the holiday stands at your market and thank the manager for the stand.
Building Update
Thanks to our generous supporters we are upgrading our
building in-time for the High Holidays.
A new air-conditioning unit has just been installed in
the Shul. Everyone is very eager to try it out. Of course running
the unit is a big expense and we are accepting donations to cover those costs.
Due to the new air-conditioning the electricity in the building has been upgraded to give more energy.
The interior of the building is getting a paint job.
This is long overdue in the classrooms, hallways and kitchen. The Shul and
front room although were painted a few years ago will look much better and
brighter.
